AdventHealth announced an agreement with Biofourmis, a global technology-enabled care delivery company, to collaborate on a continuum-wide remote patient management (RPM) program in Central Florida to provide safe, whole-person care and a superior patient experience within their homes.
AdventHealth said it is looking to standardize the patient experience by also offering post-acute RPM to keep patients engaged in their health with a seamless patient experience across hospital at home and after discharge remote patient management for continuity of care
“We know people want to heal at home, and now the technology exists to allow that to happen for more people,” said Maura Nazario, vice president of clinical operations for AdventHealth home based services. “Research shows that being in a familiar environment, surrounded by family can be helpful for the healing process for many people. By bringing the same whole-person care found in our hospitals to your home, we can offer our patients a more comfortable and personalized healing experience increasing the patient’s autonomy.
At-home care is experiencing significant growth within the healthcare sector, driven by factors such as an aging population, patient preference for home-based services, and technological advancements.
National spending on home healthcare is also on the rise. Between 2025 and 2026, spending is expected to increase by 7.1%, surpassing growth in other healthcare sectors.
A significant shift from facility-based to home-based care is anticipated. By 2025, up to $265 billion worth of care services for Medicare beneficiaries could transition from traditional facilities to home settings, representing up to 25% of the total cost of care.
