Ochsner Health has named Dr. Brian Moore as its next chief physician executive and president of Ochsner Clinic, effective Jan. 1, 2027. Moore succeeds Dr. Robert Hart, who is retiring after 32 years with the organization, including the past decade in executive leadership.

A head and neck surgical oncologist at Ochsner MD Anderson Cancer Center, Moore has held several leadership positions across the health system, including director of the Ochsner Cancer Institute, system chairman of otorhinolaryngology and communication sciences, and most recently chief medical officer for Ochsner's South Shore and Bayou regions. He has helped lead initiatives focused on expanding access to care, physician engagement and clinical excellence.

Hart joined Ochsner in 1994 as a pediatrician and went on to serve in a series of leadership roles before becoming chief physician executive and president of Ochsner Clinic. During his tenure, he helped strengthen Ochsner's physician-led culture and supported the growth of a network of more than 5,000 employed and affiliated physicians serving patients across the Gulf South.
