Northwell Health announced the opening of a new multispecialty practice at 889 Harrison Avenue in Riverhead, furthering its commitment to bringing high-quality, comprehensive care to the East End community.

The 6,400-square-foot facility on the fourth floor represents a $1.2 million investment and features 10 exam rooms and 4 dedicated testing rooms designed to support a wide range of diagnostic services, including cardiology and vascular testing.

The new facility houses multiple specialist offices—including but not limited to vascular surgery, neurology, nephrology, hepatology, cardiology, lung transplant support, vascular and cardiology imaging, labs, and EEG testing

Although major procedures like lung transplants still require patients to travel to larger hospitals, the Riverhead location now provides pre- and post-procedure care close to home, helping reduce travel time and associated stress for patients.

Opened recently, it’s part of Northwell’s strategic plan to grow ambulatory services in Eastern Suffolk County. Local leaders, including Riverhead’s Town Supervisor, praised the move—calling Riverhead a “Mecca of health care” and noting this expansion makes the town a more valuable community hub
