
The Association for Health Care Resource & Materials Management (AHRMM) recognized the inaugural recipients of the 2026 AHRMM Supply Chain Excellence Awards during the AHRMM26 Welcome Reception in San Antonio. The awards celebrate healthcare supply chain teams that are advancing innovation, collaboration and mission-driven leadership to improve operations and support better patient outcomes.
AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center received the Patient First: Clinically Integrated Supply Chain Award for its Nursing Supply Room Standardization and Optimization Project. Developed in partnership with clinical leaders, the initiative standardized nursing supply rooms with consistent layouts and color-coded organization systems, helping caregivers quickly access critical supplies while improving efficiency and supporting pressure injury prevention efforts.
The Supply Chain Advancement Award was presented to The Public Health Trust of Miami-Dade County/Jackson Health System for its Smart AP Solution for Payables Tracking and Exception Process Management. Built through collaboration among IT, Accounts Payable and Procurement Management, the self-service platform improves visibility into payment processes, strengthens vendor relationships and helps ensure the continued availability of essential supplies and services.
Womack Army Medical Center earned the Federal Supply Chain Performance Award for its Clinician-Led Logistics Transformation initiative. Recognized for a 13-year record of sustained supply chain excellence, sustainability and mission support, Womack’s efforts demonstrate how innovation and leadership can strengthen healthcare logistics operations.
“Healthcare supply chains continue to play a critical role in supporting clinicians and improving patient care,” AHRMM said in recognizing the recipients. The 2026 award winners highlight the impact that collaboration, technology and strategic thinking can have across healthcare organizations.
